Jochewed Schwarz is a harpsichord and clavichord player and performs in Israel and abroad. Her repertoire includes both Early and Modern Music and works specially written for her. She has recorded for the Israeli Broadcasting Authority "Kol HaMusika" and issued several CD's for the labels Toccata Classics and Meridian, presenting music by Telemann, Bach and F. Couperin. These recordings won many favorable reviews.
Jochewed Schwarz has led and directed the Early Music Concert Series "Sounds and Colors at the Gallery" and "Sounds and Words". She has taught at the Music Academy of the Tel-Aviv University and regularly lectures in courses both in Israel and abroad. In 2011 she was granted the Israeli artist's residency at the Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris. She is currently Director of the Felicja Blumental Music Center and Library in Tel Aviv.
Jochewed graduated from the Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University and the Schola Cantorum Basilienis in Switzerland. She is an advocate and mediator (LL.B. from the Bar-Ilan University).
